A place I would love to see IRL
MORIOKA SHOTEN
Every Tuesday, Yoshuyuki Morioka puts up multiple copies of one book for sale in his one room shop, along with an immersive exhibition based on the book. The author/editor/creator of the book will also be in residence during the week.
Morioka Shoten is a boostore, a gallery, and a meeting space in Tokyo. I also think it is a rebuke against the ‘more is better’ outlook that is destroying our lives and planet.

4000 people had their brain scanned from birth till they were 99. This is what the scientists who conducted the study concluded.
0-9 our brain is creating the buildings that will make up knowledge cities for the future.
9-32 our brain is busy building the roads (neural pathways) between these cities.
32-66 these roads become smooth highways with clear signages to help you reach the information asap.
66-90 The roads that you use often are maintained while the rest are abandoned.
So, most humans have until 32 to keep adding knowledge easily.
After that it takes a lot more effort and energy. But it is still possible.
An artist I follow
BECORN
Ex-Lego designer, gave up his job and started creating miniature acorn people or Becorns. He builds them using sticks and acorns, takes them outside and then takes pictures of them with real birds and animals.
